The Molecular Junction Database (MJD) is a searchable resource for students and researchers interested in molecular electronics. This field focuses on the development, fundamental properties, and potential applications of molecular-scale junctions and charge transport at the nanoscale. Work in this area has long been motivated by the possibility of realizing electronic devices for computation and data storage at length scales approaching the limits of miniaturization. At the same time, research over the past two decades has driven broader advances, including the discovery of new charge transport mechanisms, metal-molecule interfacial phenomena, and distinct chemical reactivity.

The MJD is designed to help users quickly identify relevant publications, datasets, and emerging trends spanning chemistry, physics, materials science, nanotechnology, and related disciplines.

Established in 2020, the MJD is curated by the Inkpen Lab at the University of Southern California, USA.
